Katie H. Byrum, J.D. serves as Senior Vice President and Senior Trust Officer for Magnolia Trust Company. In this role, she partners closely with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families and their advisors to deliver personalized fiduciary solutions designed to preserve wealth, honor legacy goals, and provide continuity across generations. With more than twenty years of experience in trust and estate services, Katie is valued for her ability to navigate intricate legal, financial, and family dynamics while maintaining a steady focus on each client’s long-term objectives.

Prior to joining Magnolia, Katie spent over a decade at First Horizon Bank as Vice President and Senior Trust Relationship Manager, where she oversaw professional investment management accounts, trust administration, and estate settlement for a diverse client base. Her earlier experience as a Trust Officer at SunTrust Bank, combined with her service as Privacy Officer for CHI Memorial Healthcare System, provides her with a distinct perspective on compliance, governance, and risk—allowing her to proactively address challenges before they arise for client families.

Katie earned her B.A. in English from Emory University and her J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law. She also completed the ABA National Trust School and is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.

An active member of the Chattanooga community, Katie serves on the Boards of the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera and the CHI Memorial Foundation. She holds a seat on the Finance Committee for the Women’s Fund of Greater Chattanooga and is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Chattanooga.
