Experience

Carter Larson, CTFA, CFA, serves as a Risk and Compliance Director for Magnolia Trust Company. In this role, Carter brings over 25 years of trust management and compliance experience to support Magnolia and its clients.

Carter received his Master of Business Administration from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and his Bachelor of Business Administration from Iowa State University. He also attended the ABA National Trust School and the ABA National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University. Carter is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Prior to joining Magnolia, Carter worked at AmerisBank as the Senior Vice President & Head of Personal Trust. In this role, Carter was responsible for expanding trust services on roughly 300 accounts, leading a team, and the direct administration of 180 accounts. Before joining AmerisBank, Carter worked at SunTrust Bank (now Truist) for over 20 years. His most recent position at SunTrust was as Senior Vice President, Fiduciary Executive, Atlanta Advisory Center. In this role, Carter was responsible for leading a team of over 40 staff members who supported fiduciary administrative services to over 15,000 trust accounts with approximately $22 billion of assets under administration.
