CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Magnolia Trust Company is pleased to announce Rebecca McNabb, JD, has joined the firm as an advisor to support the areas of complex estate planning and trust administration issues. McNabb, a recent graduate of the University of Tennessee (UT) College of Law who is pursuing her Master of Laws degree in Taxation from the University of Alabama, brings fresh perspectives and steadfast dedication to finding personalized solutions for Magnolia clients.

McNabb, a Chattanooga native, previously served as a law clerk at Elder Law of East Tennessee and Legal Aid of East Tennessee, where she drafted estate planning documents and deeds, assisted with consumer protection issues and records requests, as well as conducted case research. Her internships include Hamilton County Chancery Court, the offices of Senator Bob Corker and Senator Lamar Alexander, as well as an established trust company in the region. While obtaining her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree at UT, McNabb served as a student attorney in Wills Clinic, a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site coordinator for the College of Law, UT’s Pro Bono club fundraising chair, and the treasurer of the Animal Law Society. She was awarded The CALI Excellence for the Future Award® in both Wills & Trusts and Contract Drafting by The Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction (CALI), a nonprofit organization that conducts applied research and development in the area of computer-mediated legal education and creates tools that increase access to justice.
